The International Christian Embassy Jerusalem was established in 1980 in recognition of the biblical significance of all of Jerusalem and its unique connection with the Jewish people. Today, it represents millions of Christians, churches, and denominations to the nation and people of Israel. We recognize in the restoration of the State of Israel God's faithfulness to keep His ancient covenant with the Jewish people.
From its head offices in Jerusalem, the ICEJ reaches out into more than 170 countries worldwide, with branch offices in over 90 nations.

‘Go from your country…to the land I will show you.’ Genesis 12:1 In that land God constituted the Abrahamic covenant with the decision to save the world, and to do so through Abraham’s lineage, out of which Jesus the Saviour of the world was brought forth. All disciples were Jewish and the Gospel was to the Jew first Romans 1:16. But through their fall in not recognizing Jesus as their Messiah, salvation has come to the Gentiles. God promised to Abraham to use the nation of Israel as the vehicle for world redemption. ‘And the Scripture… foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, ‘In you all the nations shall be blessed.’ Galatians 3:8
By going deeper in God and His word, the scriptures show us that the church has not replaced the Jewish people. No, ’Certainly Not!’, Paul then continues to write in Romans 11, the Gentiles are being ‘grafted’ into the ‘olive tree’ and are nourished by the ‘root’. The tree thus signifies the collective people of God. The ‘wild branches’, who are grafted in, are Gentile believers. The ‘natural branches’ that were cut off because of unbelief, are the Jewish people, but ‘God is able to graft them in again’, as Gentiles are grafted in as well. For it is written ‘He united Jews and Gentiles into one people when, in His own body on the cross, He broke down the wall of hostility that separated us.’ Ephesians 2:11–22

In the last 70 years about 3.5 million Jewish people immigrated back to their rightful land. Israel’s modern day restoration is a miracle against all odds—a clear evidence of God’s faithfulness to His Covenant made with His friend Abraham 4000 years ago. No past, present or future kingdom, authority or ruler can and will succeed to annihilate the Jewish people, or to remove them from their land. God Himself is on their side. Hence, the reason why Israel, and its land, is so disputed. Israel and the Jewish people are the fulfilment of God’s bigger plan for the world, to bring salvation, and to restore the Jewish people collectively back to their land—to be their God. God’s promise was constituted into an everlasting covenant ‘the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession.’ Genesis 17:7-8
