Christian Friends Of Yad Vashem

Joining forces for Holocaust remembrance

Christian Friends of Yad Vashem (CFYV) was founded in October 2006 in partnership with the ICEJ in order to educate Christians about the universal lessons of the Holocaust. We enroll Christians from various countries as members. We arrange an annual Christian Leadership Seminar at Yad Vashem for pastors and other Christian leaders.

“The lessons of the Holocaust concern the failure of Christian values at the time when they were most needed.  We, as Christians, need not only formal education but an emotional and spiritual connection that can only be created through a shared understanding of history. We welcome Christians world-wide to join in our activities in Holocaust commemoration and education.”

Dr. Susanna Kokkonen
Director, Christian Friends of Yad Vashem

CFYV promotes the wide-ranging activities of Yad Vashem:

  • Brings the universal lessons of the Holocaust to churches and Christian communities;
  • Builds bridges between Christians and Jews;
  • Teaches the history of Christian Antisemitism;
  • Educates about the legacy of Righteous among the Nations.

Teaching truth, celebrating God’s faithfulness

The ICEJ is probably best known for annually hosting the Christian celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles - a multicultural event that draws thousands of pilgrims to Jerusalem for teaching, worship and prayer.

In addition, ICEJ speakers undertake teaching tours, seminars, and conferences across the globe.

The ICEJ is committed to telling the truth about Israel, and helping the church to understand the wonderful faithfulness of God through the fulfillment of His promises to the Jewish people.
